Heavenly Father,
On this Wednesday, I thank You for the gift of another day and for the example of Saint Jerome, whose deep love for Sacred Scripture drew him ever closer to You.
Through his intercession, give me a greater hunger for Your Word. When my mind is distracted, grant me focus; when my heart is troubled, give me peace; and when I am uncertain of the path before me, let Your truth be a lamp for my feet.
Lord Jesus, help me not only to read Your Word, but to live it. May Scripture shape my thoughts, guide my decisions, strengthen me against temptation, and teach me to love You and those around me more faithfully.
Saint Jerome, pray that I may seek Christ above all things and remain faithful to His truth throughout my life.
Bless my family and those I love. Protect us from evil, strengthen us in times of trial, and lead us ever closer to the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
Saint Jerome, pray for us.
Amen.
