Important Information

A Note on Standby Lists

A significant number of registered retreatants will often need to cancel their retreat plans, creating opportunities for people on the Standby List to attend. If a retreat you wish to attend is currently full, we encourage you to place your name on the Standby List and hold the time on your calendar as there is a very good chance you will be able to make the retreat. People on the Standby List are often notified within two weeks prior to the retreat date if space becomes available.

Accessibility Information

Individuals who cannot walk at least two city blocks easily should consider whether the retreat is appropriate for them or whether they should rent a motor scooter or electric wheelchair to bring with them for the weekend. A very limited number of rooms have accessibility accommodations.

Important Message

On March 9, The Cloisters on the Platte Foundation’s Board of Directors suspended our weekend retreats until the coronavirus issues improved – the welfare of our community is our highest priority. Since then, we’ve considered how to responsibly support the Cloisters Community during these unprecedented times.

We are pleased to announce that we are now offering an online Ignatian retreat through our website. We hope this online retreat, adapted by Father Andy Alexander and Maureen McCann Waldron from the teachings of St. Ignatius, will help people as they navigate today’s challenges.

We will advise the community when retreats will resume at the Cloisters facilities. In the meantime, we have offered the State of Nebraska use of our facilities if needed during the coronavirus outbreak.
